Position Purpose: To conduct and provide strategic direction to the reimbursement and managed care contracting for this national healthcare provider company.
Role + Responsibilities:
- This is a hands-on position involving negotiating of national and regional commercial and worker compensation payer contracts
- Will be an active member of senior operations management team.
- Providing feedback to senior management concerning contractual issues, market conditions, upcoming pricing issues which have or will have impact on managed care agreements
- Leading a team of contracting and provider representatives to meet the needs of our expanding company business models.
- Interfacing and working with the managed care contracts of large private practice acquisitions
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience of direct managed care contracting experience.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong negotiating skills as well as knowledge of various payor sources such as managed care, industrial, TPAs, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
- Understanding of the rehabilitation industry from a National perspective as well as a proven track record of success.
- Proven leadership and ability to motivate team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent administrative, analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
Additional valued experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of managed care processes and provider network development processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of managed care lines of business, including MediCare, state Medicaid and Commercial HMO products
